Join us for an afternoon on the waterfront deck at Pal’s with Ricochet Wine Company, the project of winemaker Erich Berg. Erich’s path into wine was anything but linear—he came up through Chicago’s fine-dining world, moved to Oregon to make wine, stepped away for a period to teach high school English, then found his way back through roles at Illahe and Day Wines before launching Ricochet in 2018. That winding path feels central to the winery itself: thoughtful, resilient, and built with a strong sense of purpose.

What started as a tiny project for friends and family has grown into a diverse and personal lineup, while still holding onto its small-scale spirit. Ricochet is also grounded in a real sense of community, from the collaborative winery and wine bar Erich has built in McMinnville to the company’s commitment to donating a portion of sales to organizations helping neighbors bounce back. Join us on our covered patio overlooking the sailboats at Tomahawk Bay Marina for a light four-course midday meal from Pal’s, with the winemaker on hand throughout the afternoon pouring wines and spending time with guests.

Afterward, settle in by the fire pits with an Adirondack chair, good music, and just enough waterfront denial to pretend you do not have to go to work tomorrow.
